My first paying gig...

Things are moving along very steadily, Im pleased to announce im having my first paying gig in a few hours at Cafe Barcelona in Pretoria.

Im very excited about the things to come...I guess you could compare the ''excited-ness'' with a primary school kiddy that just got $1000 to buy sweets with.

My writing is also picking up speed , the 5 songs for my EP is almost finished, will keep you all updated!

Recording my EP

Hi all , more good news - I'm in the process of getting 4 or 5 songs ready for recording in hopefully early January.

Release date to be announced.

Things are really picking up speed , im going for a photo shoot in about 2 weeks for the cover art , I have a few great ideas and ab-so-lute-ly can't wait!!

Don't You

Things are moving forward....forward indeed.

Just finished recoring ''Don't You'' and uploaded it to my Facebook Musician page.

It will take 2 days to verify before it can be played, but be sure to check it out.

I uploaded just a snippet of it to give people an idea of how my album will sound, even though this is a home recording done with amateur equipment - its just done for demo purposes.

Progress

I just bought myself the Samson C01u Condenser microphone, and wow... Awesome mic! Now I can make some ''semi'' quality recordings from home.

Im in the process of registering a couple of my songs with SAMRO so I can post it up on my facebook musician page so everyone can have a listen.

Here's a link to John Mayers newest song that he specially wrote for an upcoming movie entitled ''The Bucket List'' with morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.

This is truly going to be a movie to remember forever!

The song and movie preview inspired me to make my own bucket list (stuff to get done before you ''kick the bucket'' ), And here it is:

1. Be exponentially successful with my music.
2. Share a stage with John Mayer.
3. Have a happy family with my future wife and kids.... ( touchwood ).
4. Bungee jump...have never, would like to try it out.
5. Cause significant change in people, including myself, with my music.

All Around Me

Well, at this point I have about 24 songs which im polishing day in and day out - I need it to be perfect, but I also need to stop polishing when I have to - which is hard for me...

I've been writing on my album - All around me - from about May-June this year and progress is surprisingly fast, but i'm not rushing anything. I NEED this to be juuuust right.
